Our Mission
We want to help clients design eco-friendly, low maintenance, native plant focused landscapes. To help clients realize their role in the ecosystem, and transform their properties into beautiful, pollinator friendly, eco-havens and defy the ideology of traditional landscaping. We believe that every little step counts, and that taking control of your own property is a major milestone in the movement to combat climate change and preserve our local ecology.
Meet the Team!

Marissa Sigl
President, Lead Designer, Bob’s Burgers Connoisseur
Marissa became a Master Gardener and a member of the Georgia Native Plant Society in 2023. From there her interest in native plants and our local ecology blossomed. Through her volunteer work with the Augusta chapter of the GNPS she found an appreciation for landscape design. She continued her education through the Certificate in Sustainable Landscape Design program through UGA. She realized that sustainable landscape design was the perfect way to join her love of native plants with her love of art, and she could finally put her Bachelor of Fine Arts to good use.
So, after separating from the Navy in 2025, Marissa and her business partner Aaron started the groundwork for Landsaver Native Garden Design. Through the business and her designs, Marissa wants to bring native plants to every home and make sustainable landscape design and gardening more approachable. Besides running the business, Marissa is also in the Horticulture program at Augusta Tech. When she is not working she is crocheting, watching movies with her husband or trying to corral her two ridiculous dogs.

Aaron Vargas
Secretary, Social Media Manager, Macro Maniac
In addition to creating the company website and managing our social media pages, Aaron is a Master Gardener as well as a Master Naturalist. Having served in the Navy for 6 years, Aaron decided to branch out, obtaining the UGA Botanical Garden’s Certificate in Native Plants while pursuing an education in horticulture. Aaron aspires to make native and sustainable landscapes more affordable and approachable.
In their free time, Aaron enjoys hanging out with their cat Figaro, experimenting with growing native plants in a SUPER cramped apartment, and macrophotography; getting up close and personal with the small things that need the most love and protection. Aaron gets startled by mannequins at clothing stores because they always seem like real people.

Anthony Simmons
Education Program Coordinator, Consultant, Doug Tallamy Superfan
Anthony specializes in native plants and ecological processes across the Central Savannah River Area. A retired U.S. Navy veteran, he now serves as an Agriculture and Natural Resources Educator with UGA Extension and as Vice President of the Augusta chapter of the Georgia Native Plant Society.
With dual bachelor’s degrees in the natural sciences and the humanities, Anthony approaches landscaping as a form of ecological restoration. As a Georgia Master Gardener and Master Naturalist, he focuses on plant recognition, site assessment, and matching species to the conditions where they will thrive. His work helps clients reduce maintenance, improve soil health, and support pollinators and wildlife while lowering inputs such as irrigation, fertilizers, and mowing.
From invasive species management to pollinator habitat and stormwater-focused planting strategies, his goal is to help landscapes become more resilient, productive, and rooted in the ecology of Georgia.
